Accurate detection of tip clearance
- This dynamic blade tip clearance measure unit is able to run up to a blade frequency of 60 kHz. The maximum blade clearance is be 5 mm.
- The rotor turns can rise up to 300.000 rpm.
This system work under ionization and very high temperatures up to 1000°C. The sensor length can be 5 to 8 meters. For lower temperatures up to 250°C there are low budgets sensors available.
Each blade signal is calculated with the characteristic map of the sensor. The result is transmitted by ethernet or optically. The blade clearance is displayed graphically and can also be used for security shut down. The sensors can be easily calibrated with the software functions. By using two sensors under 90° at the same stage, the position of the axis can be calculated.
